Windows Tips and Tricks

1. Stop unexpected web site from your client PC.
A. Open C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
B.  Write 127.0.0.1       www.xyz.com
C.  Save and exit.
D. Open Browser and type www.xyz.com it is not open.  

2. Change the computer name
A. Start > Run > regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >
System > CurrentControlset > Computer Name >
Active Computer Name       
B. Then right click your previous computer
name and type new name. 

3. Check the Bad Sector  
A. Start > Run > cmd > chkdsk
